How many flies should I catch?

First of all, Do you know how the summer is in the Netherlands at the moment? Well I will tell you.
I made this picture today and I am wearing my  fall/winter jacket from this brand "Eleven Paris" and really, it wasn't cold or too warm at all. So, the summer in the Netherlands is a kind of sucks! :s
But I don't mind I finally could wear my cosy jacket with this fake fur on it! As we know that the fall/winter trends 2011/12 are all about fur, fake fur, colored fur in all different shapes and sizes. ;)

And then, this top I am wearing. I bought it in the trendiest clothing store in Breda
"Soho early adaptors". Good friends of mine are working there and they gave me this gift voucher for my birthday on the 15th of July. When I saw this top for the first time I furrowed my eyebrow..oke, its different but very exciting actually!
Everything that looks a bit weird to me, things you don't see everyday, I get this feeling that I have to have it right away! So I bought the top and I discovered that you could wear it in different ways. So funny!

Well good people, I hope you like the outfit! And may be you want to tell me what you think of the top?
It's possible to leave a comment on my blogpost. If it's not working then I am very sorry for that, because some say that my "comment system" still doesn't work that well. I still have to find a solution for it! I will tell you right away, for those who can't leave a comment, when it is working better!

Have nice weekend!

xx Val

My very very very first Jeffrey campbells :D

I couldn't actually afford Jeffrey campbell shoes at the moment, but these where for sale
and they already stand for a very very very long time on my wishlist and the 51% discount I really couldn't resist!
Therefore I sold my Ibiza boots on "marktplaats" (a sort of ebay website), so I don't have to feel too guilty to spend too much money again on something I might not really need. ;)
But! after all! OMG! Now I have them! :p
And yes, I don't lie, I am a sales lover ;) hihi

A silver watch is what I like...

First of all I want to introduce you to my new watch I got from my boyfriend,
 still for my birthday!
It took a while untill I received it. But, Oh yeah here it is! I like it a lot!
For the very first time I saw this watch in a skater shop "Bonk" It's a store
placed in my hometown Breda. It's a very good one. I normally don't come there but my
boyfriend does sometimes.
He said that they do have awesome watches from this brand Nixon.
For a while I have been looking for the perfect watch. I was still thinking on a silver one
with a coarse appearance and the same time with a kind of a feminine chic twist.
If you know what I mean?
Well may be you do not...:P
After all, I have been in almost every watch store and I have seen many watches
from Micheal kors to Swatch. But eventually the choice fell on a Nixon watch this time,
actually for men but, I think it looks good on girls as well.
haha...

I'm walking down the streets with my Palladiums on...

Today I want to pay the attention to the Palladium boots, because they are back in business! ;)
Some might know them in former days as I know that I had the white ones! It was a trend to wear canvas boots and with their natural and comfortable look it made your outfit look so casual. That where good old times ;)
Now they are back with better and more fashionable designs and of course I like to wear them with a long skirt and a casual white top just from H&M ;) I hope you like it!!

Some inspiration: Hype shoes!

These pictures of the shoes I have found on dezeen.com. I saw those shoes and I thought OMG, how HYPE it would be to wear them.
These shoes are designed by the Italian based Brazilian designer Andreia Chaves, http://www.andreiachaves.com/
The so called "Invisible shoe" are more an object than a functional piece of footwear.
Well, functional or not functional I think they are hot for sure! ;)

2 shades of grey...

The last few days the weather in Holland is so F***ed up! It's so rainy and so not done for this time of the year! It's dark outside with dark shades of blue and grey. Hello! were is the summer!??
Yesterday it was a bit better. There were periods the rain stopped and the sun came trough a couple of times. Oh yeah! I picked my chance to make some photos until it started to rain again. Because of the depressive weather I couldn’t think on outfits so colourful anymore haha! So I picked the grey items out of my wardrobe and some gold- like jewellery (The earrings I've got for my birthday, so happy with them!!) and I mixed my outfit together so that it looked a bit darky with a Spanish finishing touch ;) haha!

I am addicted to coloured nail polish!

Are you addicted to nail polish? You must be if you see these coloured nail polishes in the pictures. It's my own nail polish collection ;) I bought every colour for only 5 NIS in Israel that's about 1 euro each! And the quality?? For that price? Absolutely satisfied! They dry fast, but only last about a couple of days and then I have remove the polish and put on some other colour. Well, I don't mind;) haha.
If you like to have some coloured nail polish go to the store American Apparel or website
http://store.americanapparel.eu/nailpolsn.html  They now have a new Neon Nail Polish collection! Really awesome! And you know? They have colours I still don't have!! So let’s order to expand my nail polish collection!!';) Oh yeah!

xx Val!

Camouflage

If you are free from school until September. You have days they are very bored and you don’t know what to do! So hateful. Well, there is something I can do. I do have some exams in August and I still have to finish my internship report, but you rather won’t sit on that homework. I always say: It’s better to shift some homework until the stress will come. With stress I succeed as the best! Well, we will see.
Such as last Monday was a day I didn’t know what to do! But that changed because I decided going to a friend of mine, Kelly and we did some groceries together and after that we bicycled to the city which only is five minutes away. At the moment the city is a Walhalla of sale! I love the Sale!
I see this period as a challenge. You think the best items are out of sale?? No way!! I will always find some good fashion-items from which I still have a lot of fun.
I bought the belt you see on the pictures. It combined well to my outfit, so I bought it for 5 euro at Zara (sale).
In the afternoon we did some chilling in the back-yard of Kelly’s boyfriend Lars, who is the best friend of my boyfriend Joeri! Kelly and Lars met each other after I’ve been dating Joeri! Funny story actually! Well, yeah! Lars is a very creative boy, he made his back yard himself together with some of his creative friends and he makes paintings as well, very inspiring!
If you are in this garden you feel like you are on a holiday! Somewhere in the south of America! Haha! So I thought this will be an awesome place to make some photos! I was wearing this colourful outfit and Lars’s colourful back-yard made me almost disappear! “Like a chameleon can camouflage itself” haha. Though my outfit was away too colourful for me without wearing black, so I put some black accessories to it. That looks always good;)

The blue skirt and the Puma sneakers

Finally, my first photos on my blog with my new camera! And I love him! I am still testing and I don't know all the functions yet but it will come if I keep on making photo's regularly. For those who are planning to buy a new camera? Sony NEX-5. For sure, you will love him;)
These photo's I took on a not so sunny last Sunday at the park "Valkenberg" in Breda, which is a nice chilling place since a couple of years. But the temperature was great for some chilling and chatting with my boyfriend and some of our fiends.
What I was wearing that day? well see the pictures! A blue skirt and my new Pumas :D
I like it to combine casual-sporty shoes to some outfits. Definitly to long skirts now to which I have a weakness for since a while.

This time I choose for the blue one. This time not black or other dark colours, because I like to wear those colours a lot. Now, since a while If I go shopping I more consciously watch for lighter, brighter and more colourful clothing. So, a big up for the colour blocking trend, because that helps me pimp up my wardrobe a bit;)

Well, you! thanks for reading and visit my blog.
Wait to see what's next!
