The June issue of Vogue Netherlands will launch tomorrow already! But haven't posted the issue of May yet so therefore this post! Little bit too late but better late than never ;)
p.s
Before you start reading I'm not pretending to be a
journalist, because I'm just not! So, don't take it too seriously. Just
want to share with you my view on the second issue of VOGUE Netherlands.
Just because. And may be I can make you (Dutch or
not- Dutch) peepsz curious about this magazine if you haven't read it yet!
;)
VOGUE Netherlands - Editor in Chief, Karin Swerink
See below for some highlights of VOGUE Netherlands May
issue that caught my attention and of which I made my very own summary :)
1.
Vogue Fashion - Rock steady trend
Love this trend! It’s so much fun to combine sequins,
broidery, paillettes and colorful shiny stones to your everyday outfit! It's
true, they are really cool on your bag, skirt or even on your shoes or whatever! ;)
2.
Miss Vogue by Fiona Hering – Toujours Paris
This is a beautiful article about a typical place in
Paris and about the typical Parisian women. “Left bank chic” is a style of the
typical Parisians. It’s a mix between Burgundies "Joi de vivre" and a
bohemian lifestyle. “Subtle imperfection”
3.
Miss Vogue Front row – Digital prints
I do have a weakness for the digital prints! It’s
already such a nice thing only to look at it! This article tells you which
designers are the masters in making the digital prints. Let me reveal to you
two amazing designers; Alexander McQueen (SS10 Plato’s Atlantis) and none other
than Mary Katrantzou. Especially with her FW 2012 collection she proves
to us that she is really really good with prints!
4.
Miss Vogue Profile – A timid visionary
This article is about Lucas Ossendrijver a Dutch
designer who is now chief designer of Lanvin Homme. So cool! In this article he
tells us about his vision of Lanvin Homme. For him Lanvin Homme is a big challenge. Luckily, he did it and he made it work so far! Also
nice to read about his special bond with Alber Elbaz (Chief designer of Lanvin
Femme)
"we have a father son relationship"
“We wave at each other occasionally, but usually he
has its curtain closed when he is at work”
Cute! ;)
5.
Vogue jewellery – Easy pieces
All those jewelllery at the moment! The more the
bigger the better! I must admit that I sometimes like it just subtle as
well. Just so girly, undefined, sophisticated, and sexy at the same
time!
– Styling: Dimphy den Otter – Photography: Marc de
Groot
6.
Vogue Art - Street art
Gent, a city in Belgium that turns into a real art
city in the months May till September! I already know Gent of its “Gentse
feesten” A music festival. Always pretty liveable! After having read this
article I really think about visiting Gent during this TRACK event! Who knows :)

7.
Once were warriors – Fashion shoot
Just look at those cuffs, really! Again I feel I have this
weakness for bling bling!
- Styling: Marie Goekoop – Photography: Petrovsky
& Ramone
8.
Vogue Interview – Lara Stone.
A girl (Dutch model) who is remarkably down to earth!
Great personality!
– Interview: Jessica Durlacher – Photography: Josh Olins
9.
Fashion shoots: Jewel Of the Ocean & Duende
I like her styling shoots for Vogue Netherlands!
– Styling: Martien Mellema – Photography: Paul Bellaart
(Duende) – Photography: Anne Menke (Jewel of the Ocean)
10.
Vogue Fashion – Bart van Leeuwen
Really fell in love with his way of photography by
reading this article. It’s not just a dress and a model he photographs, his
work is full with charisma. Love it!
- Text by Fiona hering
11.
Vogue Archief - Viva La Danse
I agree! It’s so true! Some clothes really are more
beautiful when they move!
12.
Vogue Woman – Marina Abramovic
Just one word “RESPECT!”
– Text by Steffie Kouters
13.
Vogue World – The power of the crowd
Say goodbye to the individualism! And hello
crowdfunding! It’s actually not human nature that we live in anonymity. We do
need each other. The new dimension is about communal interests. Give your vote!
It doesn’t matter who you are. We need and we can learn from each other to
"survive" in our society.

xx- take care!
